Welcome to Acad Up ("App", "we", "our", or "us"). Acad Up is an exam preparation application that provides Multiple Choice Questions (MCQs), Previous Year Questions (PYQs), Mock Tests, and an AI-powered assistant to help students prepare effectively for competitive and academic examinations.

This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, store, share, and protect your personal information when you use our App. By using Acad Up, you agree to the practices described in this policy. If you do not agree, please discontinue use of the App.

2.1 Information You Provide to Us

When you register or log in to the App, we collect:

This information is used solely to create and manage your account.

2.2 Information Generated Through Your Use

As you use the App, we automatically collect:

  • Practice history, including questions attempted, answers selected, scores, and test results
  • AI chat messages and conversation history when you interact with our AI assistant
  • App usage data, such as features accessed, session duration, and navigation patterns
  • Device information, including device model, operating system version, and unique device identifiers

We do not collect:

  • Payment or financial information
  • Location data
  • Contacts, photos, camera, or microphone data

3. How We Use Your Information

  • To improve our question bank, mock tests, and AI assistant based on aggregate usage patterns

4. AI Chat Data

When you use the AI assistant feature within Acad Up, your messages and the AI's responses are stored on our servers. This data is used to:

  • Provide continuity within your chat sessions
  • Improve the quality and accuracy of our AI assistant
  • Analyse patterns to improve product features

AI chat data is processed and stored securely. We do not share your individual chat messages with third parties for marketing or advertising purposes. Aggregate, anonymised insights may be used internally for product development.

5. Data Retention

We retain your personal data for as long as your account is active or as necessary to provide our services. Specifically:

  • Account data (name, phone number) is retained until you delete your account
  • Practice history and AI chat data are retained while your account is active and for a reasonable period thereafter for product improvement purposes
  • When you request account deletion, your personal data will be permanently deleted within 30 days of the request

You may request deletion of your account and associated data at any time through the Settings menu in the App.

6. Account Deletion

You have the right to delete your account and all associated personal data at any time. To delete your account:

  1. Go to Settings within the App
  2. Select "Delete Account"
  3. Confirm your request

Upon confirmation, your account will be scheduled for permanent deletion. All your personal data, including practice history and AI chat data, will be permanently erased within 30 days. During this grace period, you may cancel the deletion by logging back into the App.

Please note that some anonymised or aggregated data that cannot be linked back to you may be retained for analytical purposes even after account deletion.

7. Data Sharing and Disclosure

We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information. We may share your data only in the following limited circumstances:

  • Service Providers: We may share data with trusted third-party service providers who assist in operating the App (e.g., cloud hosting, analytics). These providers are contractually obligated to keep your data confidential and use it only for the services they provide to us.
  • Legal Requirements: We may disclose your information if required by law, court order, or governmental authority.

Acad Up is intended for students preparing for academic and competitive examinations. While we welcome users of all ages who are preparing for exams, users under the age of 13 must have verifiable parental or guardian consent before using the App.

We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13 without parental consent. If you believe we have inadvertently collected such information, please contact us immediately at the email address provided below, and we will promptly delete it.
